Sync representative for Marty Hailey
Marty Hailey is a composer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Bringing 25 years worth of experience in music production, session work and as a musical director to his compositional palette, Marty has had many musical adventures in his career and developed a sensitive approach and understanding of working with other creatives to achieve what a project needs.
Marty has produced over 50 albums and EPs, one landing him a nomination as Rock Producer of the Year at the IMA’s in NYC back in 2017. He won the Helpmann award in 2010 for his music in the fringe hit Smoke and Mirrors which toured festivals in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. As a session musician he has performed and recorded with artists such as Ronan Keating, Jimmy Somerville, Human Nature, Pape Mbaye and Robbie Williams.
His sync and library music has had placements across UK and Europe, Australia, Korea, Japan and the US. He has recently completed the score to the feature film, ‘The Mad World of Harvey Kurtzman’ for Aconite Productions, directed by Bart Simpson and exec’d by Terry Gilliam. He is currently in discussion with Kwanon films on scoring the documentary on Asha Puthli, ‘Taking Space’ Directed by Shruti Ganguly and produced by Caryn Capotosto.
Marty is the owner of the iconic Edinburgh recording institution that was Chamber Studio. With a good sized space and plenty of wonderful instruments he is able to write, record and produce scores in-house. He has a roster of the finest musicians in Scotland from the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, the vibrant folk and celtic music scene available to him.
